“The witch had a cat and a very tall hat, and long ginger hair which she wore in a plait.”
With mid-term break started here’s a perfect activity to bring in Halloween that goes along with a book too.

Materials required:
One small popsicle stick
One long popsicle stick
One wobbly eye
Orange thick thread/pipe cleaner
Brown thread/pipe cleaner
Sewing thread
Paper glue
Double sided tape
Black and green coloured crafting paper
Scissor
Silver glitter
Grey poster colour
Paper plate
Step 1:

Paint your plate grey colour leaving the center blank to form the moon.

Step 2:
Add glue to the center of your plate

Step 3:
Sprinkle silver glitter and leave to dry

Step 4:
Draw a circle, small triangle and a large triangle.
Step 5:

Cut each of the elements and keep ready. Fold the triangles to form the body and hat. Stick the green circle to its body.
Step 6: Cut small piece of orange thread.
Step 7: Stick the orange strands to her head using a double sided tape.

Step 8: Stick her hat onto the green circle
Step 9:
Bundle your brown thread.
Step 10: Use a sewing thread to secure them around a small popsicle stick.

Step 11: Stick the witch on the broom onto the large popsicle stick.
Your witch is ready to fly through the moonlit sky…
