Back of the Caravan

Caravan

What we booked?

We booked the Family Beachfront Caravan a few months in advance. Good for 5 people. It came with 3 bunk beds, a double bed, Sofa and a Dinning area.

Our Caravan was equipped with:

  1. Toilet pot with a wash basin and a small tub for bath with a detachable shower head. (well maintained and clean)

  2. Cooking range with oven and microwave was available

  3. Fridge and freezer available

  4. Kitchen Storage enough to stow perishables

  5. Tv and radio fitted ( we couldn’t operate the radio and didn’t land up using the TV)

What is provided?

  1. Tea, coffee, and kettle provided (The cups, teabags, sugar and coffee sachet are not enough suggest to take your own)

  2. Bottles of water provided as per occupancy per day (500ml)

  3. One towel per person (we preferred taking our own )

  4. Toiletries were provided (I still preferred taking our own)

  5. Utensils like a pot, pan and a teapot (Since we were going to make breakfast we decided to take our own pan and pot)

  6. Table and Chairs were provided for outside seating

  7. Swing facing the beach

  8. Outside additional toilet with basin provided

  9. Outdoor shower incase you want to use it before or after a swim

  10. Cabana (perfect for some shade)

  11. Barbecue pit facing the sea

  12. Big dustbin (we used this for all waste)(you can call them to clean this during the day)

  13. Fuel and Coal provided every day on request (recommend carrying your own coal and fuel for bigger families as 1 bag provided might not be enough for dinner and lunch)

  14. Well lit outdoors

Additional chargeable activities available:

  1. Outdoor cinema =>Cost: 200 AED per day from 8pm to 8am. This set up comes with an inflatable tent and 2 bean bags. You can stream movies from Netflix or youtube. If you’d like to stream from your phone recommend carrying a phone to HDMI cable.

  2. Horse riding =>250 AED for 45mins

  3. Buggy Ride (obstacle course) =>Cost: 20 AED for one round/ 40 AED for 3 rounds

What we did?

After reading all the reviews online we decided it was best to take whatever we needed.

We found a place where we could order our meat marinated the way we liked and delivered at our doorstep. That got one big task out of the way.

We ordered the BBQ box that took care of our meals.

We carried our own grill basket, hand fan, own plates, cups, cutlery, table liners and tissue rolls.

We packed some fruits, microwavable popcorn, marshmallows, some basic kitchen items and utensils. Stocked the fridge with eggs and barbecue food.

In addition, we carried our own towels, tents, sleeping bags, kite, beach toys. We experienced a cockroach in the caravan kitchen and a few mosquitoes on the second day. Putting food trash in the outside garbage bin helped. Highly recommend carrying an insect repellent just in case.

If you don’t want to barbecue that’s completely fine you can either order from The view restaurant next door or Zomato and get it delivered to your chalet.

In case you’ve forgotten something you can find Ajman City center within 15mins

We spent most of the time enjoying the beach, playing in the sand, relaxing or getting our meals ready. If you’d like to move around there is a Pygmy Zoo close by.

Over all review

The website pictures might not be enough to show you the details of the caravan. You can request images through their whatsapp number. The beds were comfy and clean. I was quiet impressed with how clean it was overall even though there was some wear and tear around. Staff could be contacted through a phone within the caravan. Service was professional and prompt.

The View restaurant doesn’t allow kids below 8yrs old. Due to which we decided to order delivery to our chalet.

There are partitions between each caravan giving your privacy. The beach is open to all people on the property. We enjoyed the beach infront of our caravan. You can definitely expect other families from the property to be using it too.

There are a lot of stones and an iron bar in the beach that have come from the property (the divider wired mesh placed to divide the beach broken)

Sanitizer was fixed in the caravan kitchen and bathroom.

We booked the outdoor cinema through whatsapp and immediately received a confirmation call. This had to be paid along with the caravan charge. 500 AED is a deposit that’s kept aside and given after checkout.

The interiors of our caravan were quiet worn out. The seating area sofa had lost their shape with torn covers. The flooring is completely damaged due to moisture and has air pockets that create an uneven walking surface. One sofa could open up into a bed but looking at the state of it we were honestly scared to even open it. The kitchen counter had burn marks which could have been repaired. Only kitchen window could open in the caravan.

The Caravan bathroom shower didn’t have a shower curtain due to which the floor water was getting wet and collecting water easily. We had to place a towel to soak it up to avoid slipping.

Embrace the sand coz its going to be getting into the caravan. If you’d like to avoid this highly recommend taking slippers to use only inside the caravan.

If you enjoy fishing there is a public access to Zorah beach where we seen people fishing through the day and camping through the night

There is no cutlery at all, no salt, not enough water its best to carry some of your own. The tea cups provided were foam glasses and quiet small taking your own helps.

Overall we enjoyed the whole experience and created so many memories.
